Our sustainability commitment

At Artemis, we are committed to promoting sustainability across all areas of our operations

Minimising aviation's impact on the environment

At Artemis, we actively pursue environmentally responsible practices.

From extending the lifecycle of aircraft components through repair and reuse, to minimising waste and optimising logistics efficiency, we are committed to promoting sustainability across all areas of our operations.

We aim to support a more sustainable aviation industry by integrating ethical, environmental and economic considerations into our business decisions and partnerships which align with IATA’s four-pillar strategy.

IATA’s four pillar strategy

The four pillars cover:

01

Socio-economic

Enabling carbon offsetting and market-based environmental solutions.

02

Technology

Supporting fuel-efficient engines, advanced aircraft design, and sustainable aviation fuels.

03

Infrastructure
Improving air traffic management and airport systems to minimise delays.

04

Operations
Optimising flight efficiency to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Our environmental credentials

We’re committed to minimising environmental impact across our aviation services while supporting a sustainable future for the industry.

Component repair
and recycling

We support the civil aircraft maintenance sector by repairing and recycling components throughout their operational life, minimising waste and adhering to industry best practices for recycling at the end of their lifecycle.
Refurbished simulator equipment
Since 2000, we’ve helped simulator manufacturers reduce landfill waste by supplying refurbished equipment from decommissioned aircraft for use in new flight simulators.
Effectively managing
the viability of assets
We work closely with aircraft investors to determine the financial viability of each asset, and the economic and environmental impact of keeping an aircraft flying and whether it should remain in service or be broken down for spares.

Cockpit shell renovation

We repurpose cockpit shells that would otherwise be discarded, transforming them into simulators for continued use.
Recycled
packaging
Since 2021, all our packaging, including bubble wrap, is made from recycled materials, supporting our commitment to sustainability.
Sustainable
aviation fuel
We are investing in sustainable aviation fuel through participation in the DHL Express GoGreen Plus scheme to reduce our carbon footprint.
Biodiversity and environmental stewardship
We manage 20 acres of countryside in West Sussex, maintaining biodiversity through wildlife ponds, meadows and woodlands that support a diverse range of flora and fauna.
Charity
support
We support local charities in Henfield, Ireland and Canada through donations and involvement, promoting community wellness and development in areas where we operate.
Community engagement
We actively engage with our local community through events such as fun days and fostering relationships with our neighbours and local farmers.

We recycle and repair components throughout their operational life, minimising waste and adhering to industry best practices.
